Dr. Baig treated me several years ago. He is very kind and a great doctor. He always treated me with respect.

I was in severe pain from a kidney infection and when I went here they did everything they could to get me out of my misery. I was very impressed with the dedication of the staff to do what is needed to help out their patients.

A year ago Dr Kunaparaju literally saved my husbands life. He was able to immediately diagnose my husband with the rare and difficult to diagnose disease, Al Amyloidosis. The key to survival is early detection. Unfortunately, this disease is often missed until it is quite advanced. Dr Kunaparaju is a rare combination of intelligence and compassion and my husband and I highly recommend him.

Kunaparaju is also an internist and he looked at my whole health history and was able to piece together how various medications (prescription and over-the-counter) along with other health factors contributed to my kidney and anemia problems. He was very thorough and listened carefully. Took his time and is very knowledgeable. Excellent doctor.

Dr. Koenig is the nephrologist I see when I have follow-up appointments at the Virginia Transplant Center. He has seen me through some scary, life-threatening situations resulting from my kidney transplant. Things can get bad really fast, and he is quick to treat problems. That said, I go to the Transplant Center regularly so he and his staff know my conditions. Prior to my appointment with Dr. Koenig I have labs, and he is well aware of all of my issues and interprets lab results to me clearly and either suggests some tweak to my meds or says “Keep doing what you’re doing.” He is never too busy to answer questions and have a friendly chat about our experiences over the years (and UVA sports.)

Dr. Hartle is such a nice doctor. Very informative and easy to talk to.

Dr. Hirsch is a very thorough and professional physician. He takes time with his patients and really cares about them. He has a great bedside manner.

Dr. Peppiatt is a very smart doctor who is kind and caring. He has treated my CKD for about 20 years, and I am still around : )
