Dr. Shreyank Tripathi is a nephrology physician with Richmond Nephrology Associates. He chose the field of nephrology because it is a perfect combination of mathematics and many different branches of science: biology, chemistry, psychology, and sociology.

Dr. Tripathi has a special interest in treating kidney stones, high blood pressure and end-stage renal disease, and helping patients with home dialysis. He has a particular interest in taking care of patients with complex issues like kidney disease, dialysis and transplant. As much as he enjoys treating kidney diseases, his real interest and pleasure come from treating THE PERSON who has kidney disease. Dr. Tripathi takes his time to build long-term relationships with his patients and their families.

Originally from India, Dr. Tripathi has lived also lived in Charlottesville and Chicago. His favorite part of the Richmond area is the great people, the community and the schools. Dr. Tripathi also enjoys the natural environment throughout Virginia. He is married to an infectious diseases physician, Dr. Sarika Tripathi, and has two sons. Outside the office, Dr. Tripathi is an avid runner, hiker, and tennis player, and he loves to kayak.

Dr. Tripathi is the Medical Director of Davita Hioaks.
